Volkswagen Camper Van (Revive)

Possibly our toughest project to date – the new benchmark for difficulty is officially this van.
While not heavily swirled, the paintwork had clearly been neglected and was in desperate need of our Revive. The vehicle had never been machine polished before, but our carefully executed one-step correction brought the finish back to life, dramatically enhancing both gloss and clarity.

An old oil leak had left its mark on the front bumper, dulling the surface, but with meticulous attention and careful polishing, we were able to restore much of its original appearance.

The interior proved to be the real challenge. As a well-used camper van, it was significantly soiled throughout – far more involved than your typical vehicle. Every surface required deep cleaning, from upholstery to storage compartments, transforming the interior into a fresh and inviting space once again.

This charming little sports car arrived with us having just returned to the road after being taken off for the winter under a SORN declaration. Recommended by one of our regular customers, the brief was straightforward — the owner wanted to show the car some long-overdue care and restore it to its former glory, both inside and out.

We carried out our full Revive treatment on the vehicle. While the paintwork was pleasantly free from swirls, it had lost some of its vibrancy and lustre. Our work brought back the depth and shine to the exterior, while the interior was refreshed and revitalised, once again becoming a place that feels special to sit in and enjoy.

This stunning BMW came in for an exterior-only Revive treatment. Years of incorrect washing had taken a toll on the paintwork, with baked-in water spots clearly visible across several panels.

Water spots form when hard water is left to dry in the sun, causing mineral deposits to etch into the clear coat. While machine polishing can reduce their appearance, the most effective method is to treat them with a dedicated water spot remover first.

This was applied to the boot lid, where multiple areas of erosion had built up. Once treated, the panel was machine polished back to a deep, high-gloss finish.

Despite the BMW’s sleek appearance, it turned out to be a deceptively large vehicle in a poor condition — but the end result was worth the effort, topped off with a glowing customer Google review..

One of our regular customers booked their latest toy in for our Revive treatment ahead of a road trip: a beautifully kept Lotus Elise. It’s probably the smallest (and most awkward) vehicle we’ve worked on to date. As a bigger guy, getting around the tight interior was a real challenge. Removing the roof wouldn’t have helped much either.

The exterior detailing, particularly the polishing, put my back through its paces, but the results made it worthwhile. One specific request was to remove the existing number plates in preparation for a new smaller personalised plate. The large rear plate had left behind a mess of sticky pads, and as you’ll see in the slider below, it wasn’t going without a fight.

I soaked the area with tar and glue remover, then carefully removed each pad using the right tools to avoid damaging the paintwork. It took time and care, but the panel was fully restored and polished, ready for its new plate.

This beautifully coloured Mini came to us as another vehicle destined for a quick sale. The owner was eager to get it booked in as soon as possible, and despite a busy schedule and the unpredictable February weather, we managed to secure a slot. At first glance, the paintwork appeared to be in good condition, but under closer inspection, light swirl marks became evident. While Minis are often seen as compact, this one certainly wasn’t small—but it was a pleasure to work on, restoring its vibrant colour to its original brilliance with our Revive package.

The real challenge, however, was the interior. As a family car, it had certainly seen its fair share of daily use. But just like with exterior revivals, we’re well-versed in bringing interiors back to life. Take a look at the images below to see the transformation for yourself!
