Revive Paint Correction Portfolio in Salisbury, Wiltshire

I was very eager to work on this vehicle, knowing it had the potential for an incredible transformation. The contrast between the black trim and white wheels was something I was particularly excited to enhance. The images below highlight the remarkable results, and the before-and-after slider illustrates just how bad the wheels were and how faded the plastic trim had become. This vehicle was brought to us in a very unloved state, desperately in need of our Revive treatment. As you can see in the photos below, the transformation is remarkable. Notice the stark difference between the before and after images on the slider below. The once faded and grey black trim has been restored to its original, deep black shine, thanks to our expertly chosen, high-quality products.  

Our First Electric Car! This vehicle received our Revive treatment as the owner was preparing to sell and wanted to achieve the best possible value. Valeting/Detailing a vehicle before selling privately can significantly increase its market price, making it a smart investment that can pay off considerably.

This particular job was a real challenge. The paintwork was heavily swirled and had suffered scrapes from bushes along the sides. The door jambs, window crevices and badges were filled with unsightly green growth (check out the before and after slider below) and the wheel arches were caked in thick mud. After a thorough clean, we enhanced the paintwork with a machine polish, successfully removing many of the swirl marks and scrapes. The transformation was stunning, bringing the faded matte red finish back to a brilliant, vibrant deep red—ready to catch the eye of potential buyers.

This absolute beast came in for our Revive treatment, and it was a real labour of love! The paintwork had taken quite a beating, full of swirls from years of being washed with a brush. The owner had previously booked in another car with us and was so impressed with the results that they wanted their daily workhorse to look just as good—and stay that way. After the thorough revive, they’ve now joined our maintenance service to keep it looking pristine, with regular cleans every 4-6 weeks to ensure it stays in top condition.

We recently purchased this stunning vehicle from the local Ford dealership in Salisbury, and I have to say, it was one of the best used car buying experiences I’ve had—certainly a step up from Land Rover! The team was friendly, informative, and went the extra mile to make the process an absolute pleasure. If you’re in the market for a used Ford, I’d highly recommend them.

However, when it came to the condition of the paintwork, it was a different story. I specifically requested that the dealership did not valet the car before collection, as I knew from experience that the last thing it needed was more swirl marks being added. There’s a common misconception that a used car from a dealer will be pristine, but the reality is that most dealership vehicles are full of paintwork defects. Why? Because they rarely have the time or trained personnel to carry out proper polishing and paint correction.

This vehicle had been treated with GuardX by the previous owner, yet the paint was still heavily swirled and lacked depth and clarity. This highlights an important point—dealership-applied coatings don’t correct or protect against swirls if the paint isn’t properly prepared first.

To truly restore the finish, I carried out a full cutting and polishing process using a microfibre pad and a medium-cut polish to safely remove both the GuardX and the heavy swirl marks that had built up over time.

As you can see in the before and after slider below, the difference was incredible. The driver’s side door, in particular, was covered in swirling, but with the right products and techniques, we brought back the deep gloss and vibrant shine the paintwork was meant to have.

I still need to carry out a finishing polish and apply a ceramic coating though, as every detailer knows, personal cars always seem to be the last in the queue for perfection!
